Dr. Shweta Shamik Mokadam completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur and went on to pursue her ophthalmology degree course from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya (Medical Research Foundation), Chennai. She was awarded the G Venkataswamy gold medal in Ophthalmology for topping the Diplomate of National Board examinations in India in the year 2006.She also received the best outgoing postgraduate medal from Sankara Nethralaya. She then did a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery and Cataract from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and joined as a consultant at Anjani Eye Hospital and Karandikar Eye Hospital in 2008.She has presented papers in several international and national conferences and is an invited faculty in local ophthalmology forums. Her special interests are refractive surgery, keratoplasty and cataract.
