Dr Gopal Bandyopadhyay is a seasoned medical professional with nearly 20 years of national and international work experience. He has had an exceptional academic record and was a honors holder throughout his academic life. Along with his MBBS and MD(AIIMS) degrees, he also has an FRCS (Part I) in Ophthalmology to his credit.His expertise lies in diagnosing and managing retinal and uveal disease, complex retinal surgeries(Retinal Detachments with PVR, complicated Diabetic hemorrhages with TRDs, Macular Surgeries -Macular holes, ERMs, VMTS and TTPHs with MIVS (25g &27g), all forms of complicated retinal surgeries and also medical retina treatments with different types of injections and lasers.Dr. Gopal has presented several papers and posters at prestigious national Ophthalmology conferences. Dr Gopal is also an esteemed member of various national and international councils and societies, such as the All India Ophthalmological Society, Vitreoretinal Society of India, West Bengal Ophthalmological Society among others.Dr. Gopal has been training budding Vitreo-Retina surgeons over past several years. Today there are several Vitreo-Retina surgeons trained by him all over India.
