Dr Amit Mehta completed his Masters in Ophthalology in G.G. Hospital, Jamnagar in 1984 where he continued to work as Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor in Ophthalmology till 1995. He has also been Professor and Head of Department of Ophthalmology at GMC, Surendranagar. He started his own private hospital in Jamnagar well-known as Eye Care Hospital (now MSEH) in 1995. He continued as Honorary professor in Department of Ophthalmology at GGH, Jamnagar from 1995-2002. He has continued to be a leading practioner and eye surgeon of Jamnagar over last three decades.
